WEEDS 101: NEW GUINNESS RECORD?

What would be the record for the greatest number of weed species in between the cracks of a  patio area?
Yesterday I counted 20! I wonder if I should contact the Guinness World Record people.
In the midst of all of these miscreants, I  found one so cute that I'm letting it grow. It's in the bottom photo. The others get to become compost...except for the STICKYWEED pictured below. Don't put it near your compost. I've fought it for 3 solid years and I think I've finally gotten the last of it.

Stickyweed aka Galium aparine....my nemesis!

Part of the 20 species of patio crevice weeds.
This one actually looks good in the cracks along with moss. I'll keep it.
Thanks for stopping by to weed this post. LOL

  1. arrrrgh yes it is the bane of my gardening existence. rage, rage against the propagation of stickyweed. Although right now it's chickweed that's taking over everything in my yards, not quite as annoying but only slightly less.

  2. haha - I've never counted the number of weeds! Funny! I hate that stickyweed, too. As for the last weed - take it out! It's just beginning to flower, I see, and you will be amazed has fast this thing spreads! Good luck with your weeding!

  3. I know someone who purposly planted plants in their patio like that....it took a lot of time, money, planning, and water. Lucky you....you got the exact same look for free!
