My wife thinks I'm crazy because I like white flowers.
I'll admit, they are not the glamour queens of the garden
and they are under appreciated by most non-gardeners.
But take a closer look and you will see magic!
These are all flowers I grow here in the garden.
Tell me what you think.
Our orchid tree is in full bloom right now.
Our Arkansas yucca is blooming for the first time.
Four O'Clocks are very fragrant as are many white flowers that bloom at night.
Airplane plants send out blooming runners that are seldom seen up close since they crawl along the ground.
The tiny euphorbia is beautiful up close.
Peace lilies have both a wonderful white spathe and beautiful foliage.
One of our plumerias starts off as pure white, then has a pink blush by the second day.
The fragrance is exotic and intoxicating.
I'm going to tell my wife not to BUG me anymore about growing white flowers.
And if that's not enough, I have a garden helper
that will win her over when it comes to white!
It's little Binky, our flame point Siamese cat.
Finally, here's a treat....I discovered something amazing when
I photographed this Althea under strong light. Do you see the patterns?
A garden will always surprise you...even after 40+ years!

So....
I'm dreaming of a white Christmas...er..uh... maybe that should be dreaming of a White Summer! LOL
Whatever the case, thanks for stopping by!
