The shell gingers (Zingiber zerumbet) only bloom after very mild winters.
It was perfect timing for a tropical bouquet.
There's also an exotic Aechmea in bloom today.
And some cool sabal palm spikes are also in the garden.
Time to put it all together!
Happy Mother's Day!
Hope you find something blooming in your garden today.

The blooms of the shell ginger looks stunning!!
ReplyDeleteLovely, just lovely. I picked myself a peachy colored daylily, knowing my shell ginger will never see a mild enough winter to bloom.
ReplyDeleteVery nice! Hasn't it been a beautiful spring? Have a great week! Carol
ReplyDeleteHow pretty! I love that shell ginger bloom! I've never seen one before. Fascinating.
ReplyDeleteI miss the Ginger spikes/blooms !!!!! When living in Houston I had them in the backyard and loved them!!! They don't get that big here sadly, die down and start over every year and just about when they would... it freezes.... Happy GBBD.
ReplyDeleteVery nice that they bloomed. It is such a tropical plant, colorful and eye catching.
