WEIRD ONE IN A MILLION PINE NEEDLE BALANCING ACT

As we were enjoying the blooms of our Yucca plant, we spotted this:
No, it's not the flowers, it's a pine needle. Let's look closer.
It looks perfectly balanced! Let's see it from another angle.
There it is! Should I arrange bus tours? Should I charge admission?
What about the traffic snarls on our quiet street? Should I warn the neighbors?
I have LOTS of pine needles, but this one is special.
There are no strings, no hidden threads. Should I call the local news?
First, let's do the TEENAGER test since it takes so much to impress them.
Our teenager said, 'Whoa! How is that happening?'
He was impressed.
Here's a closeup. Only one point is stuck in the agave.
It's been that way all night.
I've searched the internet high and low and haven't found a single other example.
I did find the story about the tornado driving a straw through a telephone pole.
Myth busters said it couldn't happen.
I'm not so sure.
Oh, and here's that Yucca I mentioned:

Thanks for stopping by!

  7. I've only seen that happen once before, and I should have taken a picture! Actually the needle was partially imbedded in the leaf, so it had a little help.

  8. I think you should have put it on E-Bay!
