BEAUTIFUL SPRING DAY BUT I'M STUCK INSIDE DOING PAPERWORK

They'll be some time at the end of the day to garden, but this is one of those days where I could spent 12 hours with a hoe and shovel  and still yearn for more. Happy Spring!
A view out the back window as I sit and do paperwork. It's okay, I'll sneak out and then do the papers!

A view out the front window. The weather is cool, there are no swarming bugs, and...and...this is TORTURE to stay inside.
I've got to find an excuse to get out there.

 Here's an excuse.
There was a wild cat (feral cat) in the garden this morning. I've never seen it before but I guess it likes to hide here. I dare not feed it, but who knows. Maybe it's a good mouser and is finding food already.

Well, that's it. (Sigh)
Time to get back to the paperwork.
Hope you get to go outside today and garden.
Here in TAXES, oops TEXAS, it's a fine day.
(Yes, I'm doing my taxes this weekend. I wonder if garden tools are tax deductable.
I wonder if garden plants are tax deductable. It would be nice if they were.)
Thanks for stopping by.

  2. Get those taxes done and get out into that lovely garden! It looks like a far too beautiful day to be wasting away.

  3. I'm in the exact same boat here in Brisbane, except here it is a glorious Autumn day. I cleaned out the water feature earlier this morning, and now there's no excuse. I have to work my way through about a foot of miscellaneous paperwork just to get to my tax stuff!

  4. Dear David, As a former teacher (and principal) I know how difficult it is to find time to garden with all that paperwork screaming for attention ... how I love retirement! Maybe you could do a gardening project with your students then the tools and plants would be tax deductible. P. x

  5. I spent all day at work on a gorgeous SATURDAY grading and finishing my grades for 3rd qtr. When I could finally leave I almost ran outside. Have a hot date with a load of compost tomorrow. Woo-hoo!! I need that cat! Our mice are smarter than our traps.

  7. Oh, I so feel your pain. Last Friday I had to spend the whole day inside chained to my computer and a stack of paperwork for taxes. It was torture!!! But it's done. What a relief!!!! I hope you had a productive day and can now get back to doing what you love.

  9. Taxes! What a horrible thing to be doing on such a beautiful day. Glad you got to go out for a minute - if only to take a photo of the feral cat! Your garden is looking beautiful. The first pic of all the pinks on the different plants is just beautiful.

  10. It is so hard to stay indoors on beautiful days. You have a wonderful view out your window of the garden. We have so many feral cats here. It has become a dumping ground here for unwanted pets. The problem is I get to feeling sorry for them and feed them once in a while which I should have never started. I hope you got out into the garden to enjoy it David.

  11. It is unfortunate that tax time is around one of the nicest times to garden. BTW...your garden looks lovely.
