CAPTURING BEAUTY

How do we capture beauty in nature and in the garden?
Do we capture this beauty and put it in a bottle?

...and take it inside to enjoy?

Do we find beauty captured for us?
And do we pull the live butterfly from the web and give it another chance? I did.
Beauty is a strange thing. It can last for centuries in a tree and only a day with a flower.

And the strangest thing of all is the fact that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. My garden shed had this little rascal in it last night. Yes, it knocked down and broke some bottles, but I still think raccoons are beautiful creatures.
To others, they are simply a nuisance to get rid of.
My wife will be going through some very long surgeries next week, so when she gets home from the hospital, I've decided to make her a fresh garden bouquet every day.
It's the least I can do.

And don't worry too much about her recovery. Remember, we've got plenty of helpers to boost her morale!
The kittens are still with us for about 2 more weeks.

  1. Beauty is subjective indeed and is all over the place, sometimes all you need to do is pause and look :)

Hope all goes well with your wife's surgery and wishing her a speedy recovery. And the kittens will definitely of great help! :)

  2. There is beauty everywhere around us and I agree with Mark and Gaz. If we just stop and really look, we realise that we're surrounded by it.

Wishing your lovely wife all the very best in the next couple of weeks and I hope all goes well. I think a bouquet of lovely flowers will certainly help lift her spirits.

  3. Hi David,
Thank you for your sweet comment.

Your garden is so great!Especially the agave is cool!!!

As a matter of fact, I'm not confident about my little garden.
It is difficult to get a house with a large yard around Tokyo in Japan.
But you make me become more confident:)
So next time, I'm going to post about my garden thing!
