It feels like it! These shots are from a single sycamore seed floating in my rain barrel this weekend.
To me, it looks like a space craft silently floating through time and space. To imagine it contains new life makes it even more surreal. And...real or surreal, you can see a whole set of macros over at Lisa's blog by clicking http://lisaschaos.com/ It's such a fun group and our host, Lisa, is terrific! Thanks Lisa.
Happy Macro Monday. David/ :-)

It looks like a fly for fly fishing. Did you catch anything it that barrel? The top two are great with the reflections, but the bottom one is my favorite. It looks like a deep sea creature.
ReplyDeleteOh wow this is a fantastic shot!
ReplyDeleteMacro Monday
it is fun to see this up close~
ReplyDeleteGreat details in these photos. The posted quote has me wondering how many shots I've taken so far.
ReplyDeleteSurreal or not. Your photos are just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteAmazing!
That is so cool! It does look like it's floating in space. You can't even tell its in water. I take about 2,000 photos per month, and have been since I got my first digital camera in 2006. Hmmm....I think I surpassed that 10,000 mark a looong time ago.... Scary thing is, I'm still working on improving that photography. I guess I should concentrate more on "quality over quantity," huh?
ReplyDeleteHi, David. What a lovely post!
ReplyDelete--Penny
these are so cool! thank you for sharing these intimate encounters with this beautiful seed.
ReplyDeleteI am sure I long ago took 10,000 photographs!
ReplyDeleteMaco shots are some of my favorites. I love seeing your blue skies after all the cold you had. Crazy weather indeed.
Happy Macro Monday great shots.
