FREE BLOGGING ADVICE  FOR THOSE JUST STARTING OUT IN THE BLOGGING WORLD:

If you feel bad about the lack of visitors to your blog....don't. My first month was dismal and I felt like giving up. Hardly any visitors would stop by no matter what.

If you are just starting out remember; it takes time to build a great garden blog. From many of my favorite garden blogs (that had been around for many years), I learned to keep my posts short on words but high on photos. For every 1 photo you see there are at least 10 that are discarded. I never have water hoses in my pictures (unless I'm doing a post about water hoses). I take shots from 4 different angles. I crawl on the ground. I notice lighting and give up if and come back later in the day if a photo isn't working. I edit my posts about 4 to 5 times to catch grammar mistakes before posting. I'm a perfectionist and this garden blog is where I focus that energy. Yet, even after all this work, I still LOVE other garden blogs more than I like my own! Friendships count more than any number. SO PLEASE.....GO VISIT MY LIST OF FABULOUS FAVORITES TO SEE REALLY GREAT BLOGS on my side panel.  These are my inspiration!

One little secret; as much as I'm excited about lots of people reading my posts, I'd rather have a post with just 10 pageviews and 1 wonderful comment that a thousand pageviews with no comment at all. Friendship gardening is what it's all about! :0)
And above all, HAVE FUN!
